Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) catches swine flu

Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter films, has recovered from a mild dose of swine flu.

"It was just like any other flu I've had before," he said. "It was quite scary when I was first told I had swine flu because of what's been in the press. I was like 'am I going to die?', but it was fine - just a sore throat."

100,000 cases per day

Four people have died of swine flu in Britain which has Europe's highest number of cases. The government has warned that reported cases could rise to 100,000 per day by the end of August.

In people who have caught swine flu the vast majority of cases have been relatively mild. However, the virus is unpredictable and young people in good health have become severely ill and died. WHO has warned that the spread of the virus worldwide is now unstoppable.
